  • Hi Alex!\nWow u got yourself some great stuff for the trip! It is really smart to bring your own netbook – we had to pay a lot for all the internet cafe. But u can just go in a starbucks, McDonalds, … they have free wifi.\nAnd DSLR! U gonna come back with awesome pics!\n\nBut I wonder how heavy your rucksack will get??\nAnd keep in mind to have a small one for hand luggage where all the fragile and valuable stuff must fit in!\n\nAll the best from Austria!!\n\nMax.

    • Since this is a once in a life time trip, i figured i’d get the most out of it. The laptop is pretty usefull too for blogging, transfering (and editing) pictures. I hope the pictures turn out awesome too.\n\nThe rucksack will be weighing about 8-9kg since the last time I packed it. Also have my daypack prepared for my valuable stuff. \n\nYou can check out my complete list here: http://www.asianbackpacker.com/2011/11/05/my-packing-list/

  • From my point of view you are WAY overpacking, Alex. \n\nBut then again, I don’t care that much about blogging or having pictures taken with a DSLR camera when I’m travelling. ;)\n\nI live by packing advice on http://www.onebag.com BTW. :)

    • Hmm true, I guess I can always ditch a few more things. I’ll check out the site too. Thx for the advice!\nAlways nice to hear from travelers with backpacking experiences 😉
