Peru – Lima / Cuzco / Puno / Arequipa

Out of all the South American countries, Peru is the first one I’ve done research on. Not because it’s my favorite or anything, but because I arranged my Salkantay trek in Cuzco way ahead of time and from there on I just kept going. I’ll be spending the new year in the magical Cuzco, probably not in Macchu Picchu but it’s close enough! Since I’ve already talked about the Salkantay trek in another post I’ll just describe the route I’ll take. Lima First stop, Lima! Capital of Peru and largest city. Argentina – Iguazu / Buenos Aires

To be honest, I have very little knowledge on the countries in South America. It hasn’t really caught my interest untill recently. Iguazu Falls (Iguaçu falls) One of the great natural wonders of the world, the entire area around is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Iguazu...

I know, everyone should’ve known that already, but I didn’t… and apparently Brazilians will feel a bit offended if you assume that they speak Spanish just like any other South American country. I’ve started to learn some basic Portugese in order to “blend” in as much as I can but I’m no Rain man...

Must visit places / must-do in Japan (part 1)

Japan was and always will be a unique place. Whether we talk about traditional festivals or traditional theater, religion or pop culture, architecture or transport, food or clothing, martial arts or games, you can see in unique scenes Japan, that do not exist anywhere else in the world. Visit an onsen or sento Sentō (銭湯) is a type of Japanese communal bath house where customers pay for entrance. Traditionally these bath houses consist of one large room separating the sexes by a tall barrier, and on both sides, usually a minimum of lined up faucets and a single large bath...
